Thank You!

Hi First Family,

We simply want to say, “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” We are so thankful for your continued prayers, love, patience and encouraging comments during our transition and otherwise.

Just a few weeks ago, we welcomed Anna Klipa as our new Children’s Minister. She’s already begun leading and serving so well here among the First Family!

What a joy it is now for the First Family to welcome David Rhymes, as our Go & Tell Pastor!

Pastor David, and his wife, Jaime, and their twin daughters, Molly and Emma, were with us this past Sunday as David was unanimously affirmed by our membership to join the FBCW staff family. We look forward to all that God has in store as Pastor David comes to provide leadership and training as we seek to reach our neighbors and the nations with even greater focus for Jesus Christ!

While it is easy to rejoice in people following God’s call to join our family at FBCW, it is harder to rejoice when God calls one of our family elsewhere. So, it is with a mixture of sadness and rejoicing that we send out a valuable staff member as he answers God’s call to serve in another ministry setting. Tim Riddick, our Creative Communications Ministry Team Lead, has accepted a Pastor of Digital Ministry position at BridgePoint Church in Florida. We are praying for them and wish them all well!

You are invited to attend a farewell reception for Tim, Kari, Noah, Greyson, and Silas on Sunday, June 5following the 11:20AM service in the Student Center. Cards and notes are welcome as you show appreciation for Tim’s 11 years of service at FBCW.

We are so blessed by you being true to 1 Corinthians 3:9 and 1 Thessalonians 3:2 as we all co-labor with God in the Gospel of Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:5-9

5 What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8 He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. 9 For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.

1 Thessalonians 3:1-3

1 Therefore when we could bear it no longer, we were willing to be left behind at Athens alone, 2 and we sent Timothy, our brother and God's coworker in the gospel of Christ, to establish and exhort you in your faith, 3 that no one be moved by these afflictions. For you yourselves know that we are destined for this.

We are so blessed to have you as brothers and sisters in the body of Christ. Yes, we are blessed to have you continue in the faith, identity and unity of Christ.

1 Peter 2:9-10

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

We continue to pray and give thanks for you and love you!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

For His Glory,

Your Elders and Staff
